
Home’s History
The historic mansion located in Perth Amboy, built in 1892, holds a significant place in the town’s history. This Victorian-style home has had only three previous owners, with the last listing dating back to 1940.
It was bought by Cindy Gadek and her late husband in 2000 through a private sale. The home is renowned for its rich history and architectural beauty, featuring original wainscoting from 1892 and 1935 Art Deco bathrooms.

Its Current State
The Stella Boyle Smith home, despite its age, is in excellent condition, thanks to the thoughtful renovations and maintenance carried out over the years.

Significant updates include the installation of a DaVinci 50-year composite slate roof in 2005, conversion to a gas furnace in 2009, oil tank removal in 2009, a new water heater in 2018, and a Trek front deck in 2024.
The interior was also freshly painted in 2024. The home has been modernized while preserving its historic charm, making it a perfect blend of old-world elegance and contemporary comfort.
