Florida Rep. Cory Mills, a staunch Donald Trump supporter, is facing mounting scrutiny after serious allegations from his ex-girlfriend, Miss United States Lindsey Langston, who claims he threatened to leak explicit videos following their breakup. While Mills denies the accusations, multiple Republican lawmakers are alarmed, questioning his political future ahead of the 2026 elections.

Alleged Revenge Threats
Lindsey Langston, who dated Mills from November 2021 to February 2025, filed a police report accusing the congressman of harassment and threatening to send explicit videos to her future partners. One alleged message from Mills read: “I can send him a few videos of you as well. Oh, I still have them.”

Internal GOP Alarm
According to Politico, several Republican colleagues are deeply concerned about the fallout. “This whole other issue is disturbing,” said one unnamed GOP member. Another questioned, “What if he is arrested for real?” With Mills’ seat in Florida’s 7th District up for grabs in 2026, Republicans are now debating whether to replace him before Democrats seize the opportunity.

Mounting Scandals Pile Up
This is not the first controversy for Mills. He has previously faced claims of unpaid rent on a D.C. apartment and was accused of assaulting a woman in February 2025. That woman, Sarah Raviani, later withdrew her allegations. There has also been scrutiny over the legitimacy of the Bronze Star awarded to him during the Iraq War in 2023.

Miss United States Speaks Out
Langston told law enforcement that she ended the relationship after hearing reports of the alleged assault involving Raviani. In her report, she submitted screenshots of messages where Mills allegedly made disturbing threats, including to “go after” any future boyfriends and share the couple’s private videos.

Mills Denies All Claims
In a statement, Mills said: “These claims are false and misrepresent the nature of my interactions. I have always conducted myself with integrity, both personally and in service to Florida’s 7th District.” He also said he was unaware of any report being filed in Langston’s case.

Accuses Lawyer of Political Attack
Mills lashed out at Langston’s attorney, Anthony Sabatini, who had previously run against him in the 2022 GOP primary. He claimed Sabatini is “weaponizing the legal system to launch a political attack,” and using “his corporate legal office to push a narrative built on lies and flawed legal arguments.”

Past GOP Figures Accused of Threats
Two of the most infamous cases involving Republicans accused of threatening behavior include Rep. Matt Gaetz and former Alabama judge Roy Moore. Gaetz faced a high-profile federal investigation into alleged sex trafficking, where reports suggested attempts to silence witnesses and misuse influence, though no charges were filed. Similarly, Roy Moore was accused by multiple women of pursuing and harassing them as teenagers, with claims that he used his position to intimidate and manipulate. Both cases ignited national outrage and highlighted how personal misconduct can threaten political careers and public trust.
