The historic Foley Mansion in St. Cloud, Minnesota, has officially reopened after undergoing extensive renovations. Originally built in 1889 by lumber baron Timothy Foley, the Victorian-era home had suffered years of neglect and significant fire damage in 2004. Thanks to the dedication of Carmen and Allen Arvig, the mansion has been meticulously restored to its former grandeur.

During the restoration process, the Arvigs discovered and preserved rare stained glass windows created by renowned artist John La Farge. Their commitment to authenticity ensured that 90-95% of the mansion’s original structure and design were carefully revived. Their efforts have been widely recognized, culminating in the 2024 Heritage Preservation Award presented by the St. Cloud City Council.

Now fully restored, the Foley Mansion is open for public tours, offering visitors a glimpse into the rich history and intricate craftsmanship of the home. Each room showcases stunning period details, from hand-carved woodwork to the breathtaking stained glass. Guided tours provide insights into the mansion’s past, as well as the challenges and triumphs of its restoration.

Beyond tours, the mansion is also available for private event rentals, including weddings, family reunions, and corporate gatherings. This new chapter for the Foley Mansion allows the community to experience its historic beauty firsthand while preserving its legacy for future generations.
